Domestic Violence Women all over the world and in all cultures and societies are abused physically, sexually and emotionally within their home by their husbands, partners, parents and children. However, these women continue to live in these circumstances for many years, some their entire lives.

Family Planning Every couple should have the right to decide how many children they want and what time in their lives they want to have them. The woman should have control on the number of children she wants to have, and there should not be excessive undue influence from extended family and one's community. Families need to know where to access resources to enable them to plan their family effectively.

Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)  Female Genital Mutilation is a custom practices in some societies in which the external female genitals or part of them are cut. This is usually done when the girl is small and cannot make any decisions about her body. The effects of this can be very severe from excessive bleeding,  infection and death immediately after the procedure, to inablility to enjoy sex, complications during child birth and incontinence. This practice is harmful to women and is not promoted by any religion.

Safe Motherhood  The safe motherhood project aims to prevent  death of  or health complications in a woman during her pregnancy, child birth and the first few months of her baby's life. Women in developing countries have between 5 to 20 times the risk of dying in this period than their developed country counterparts. Most of these deaths can be prevented.

Women's Empowerment  Women's empowerment aims to provide women with education, skills and resources to take control of their lives and that of their families. World Bank studies show that in areas affected by poverty, the quality of life of one's family is more likely to improve in investment is made in the women of the community than in the men of the community. This area also deals with issues of gender equality.

Young Mothers  Teenage pregnancy is a problem in countries all over the world, with women still in their teens having to give birth to and start raising children, even if they are not ready emotionally, physically, and economically to raise children. There is also a great deal of stigma attached in some cultures to teenage pregnancy. Issues involved include prevention of teenage pregnancy and finding resources to assist these young moms.
